CHEMICAL PEEL
NOTE: ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING
MEDICATIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN WITH FOOD
IMMEDIATELY AFTER SURGERY AND FOR THE FIRST 48 HOURS
Apply antibiotic ointment frequently enough to keep the treated skin covered and moist at all times.
Do not pick your skin or scratch it. Allow dead skin to come off with gentle cleansing.
You may cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser and gentle application.
You may wear cool packs on your upper and/or lower eyelids as needed while awake, change frequently.
Wear clothing that fastens in front or back for 1 week. Avoid slipover sweaters, tight tee shirts, and turtleneck.
Absolutely avoid tanning for 6 weeks after surgery.
You may begin to drive when not taking narcotic, or sedating medications.
You may begin taking anti-inflammatory medications such as Motrin immediately. Tylenol can also be helpful.
Rest and/or sleep with your head elevated for the first week after.
CALL US IF:
- Temperature over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Excessive pain or swelling
- Vision changes or pain with eye movement
- Any new rash or concerns of infection
- Other concerns
